Facebook put an end to that, when they revamped all their rules and regulations. Since then, I've had the giveaway on the backburner as I've explored different ideas and venues for the contest. I considered a Twitter contest - but I realize that not all of you are active tweeters like me.
So I've come full circle and ended up back here on my blog. The place where it all kind of started.
I have been a bit slack with my updates, and I realize it's because I feel pressured to share something really worthwhile with you. Sort of the "All or Nothing" kind of situation. So more often than not, I choose "Nothing".

So without further ado: the rules to the Christy DeKoning Original Portrait Giveaway (pretty posh eh?)
Rule #1: leave a comment here on my blog (only one comment per post per day will be recorded as an entry)
Rule #2: see rule #1
yup, that's all there is to it.
BUT wait! There's more...
... if you'd like to be entered more than once, then you can ReTweet this post on Twitter for a second entry, and/or Post it to your Blog or Facebook page for another entry. That can add up to 3 entries per day per person! Just make sure you come back here and leave me a link to the tweet, blog post or status update (you can use the handy "retweet" button at the bottom of each post)
I'll tally up the comments at the end of the month and use Random.Org to pick a winner.
oh right - the PRIZE!!!! A teensy weensy itty bitty miniature "ACEO" portrait, custom painted from a photo that the winner will email to me. Turnaround time for me to finish the portrait will be about 1 month or less.

I'm glad you are back to the blog since I really don't spend much time at Facebook or Twitter! Please do show more - we're not fussy!
Hi Christy ~ I LOVE your work! It is truly a gift. I am SO excited about this Give-Away! And, I already know what I'd want! A painting of my cat, Lizzie. She passed away on 09-01-09. She has the most beautiful eyes. I just know you would be able to capture the magic of those eyes I miss SO much! Thanks! Jo
Thanks for the "welcome home" Alcatmom. It is very encouraging :-)
Jo, thank you for the lovely comment on my work. I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish you good luck, and maybe I will be able to paint Lizzie's beautiful portrait soon.
I love the title and the subject it goes with! LOL Very nice!
Weren't you just saying how busy you were:) Looking forward to seeing more!
Becca - which title? At first I thought you meant the blog title but now I'm wondering if you mean one of the photos?
Marnie, YES I'm a sucker for punishment hahaha. I am lucky to be so busy, and I don't want to forget that it is all because of my wonderful patrons, clients and supporters that I've got so much to paint.
So although I can't handle giving away a big portrait any more, I'm pretty happy to paint a small one :-)
I have just recently started following your blog...found you through Etsy (I'm an "Etsian" as well!). Started following because I admire your work so much. I understand your "all or nothing" approach, but I truly think you are being too hard on yourself. You are very talented and I for one am looking forward to future posts!
I'm disappointed I don't have to guess what the painting is....lol! Did you think that my dream was an unfair advantage? lol
Yes.... blog more!! Doesn't matter what you blog about. Look at mine. It's a modge podge of nothingness...lol!
What an exciting idea. Your example ACEO is beautiful. I'm crossing my fingers, toes and just about everything else!
I look forward to seeing the portraits you paint for the contest! What a fun idea!
